THE STRANGER

TUAN.FR & LEICA VN | 2018.05

This exhibition is a collaboration between Leica Vietnam and photographer Tuan.fr at the Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City. The concept behind this exhibit design comes from the interior environment itself where the spiral staircase is seen as a roll of negatives from old film cameras.

This idea turns the exhibition space into a film compartment and strangely, makes all structure columns played the role of negative spools inside this camera. Thus all display partitions are winded and stretched among these columns, creating an endless blank negative strip on which the photographs appear.
